About the Author E. Winfield Scott

The author, E. Winfield Scott wrote, “If You Want to be a Pirate” song to the delight of the children at the YMCA where he worked. It became so popular, that he decided to illustrate it as a book. Growing up in a Marine Corps family, he has lived all over the United States as well as Bavaria, Germany and has been a positive influence with children in his work for many years. He currently resides in Colorado amidst the snow crested Rocky Mountains where, besides creating delightful stories, he enjoys snowboarding, camping, fishing and many other outdoor sports.
